katsucon 2011 by EatToast katsucon 2011 by EatToast
HI everyone! Katsucon is the next show i will be doing, and i've made some fun new things to sell this year! All handmade toys and prints, all for you to enjoy!

some new things;

ONI OWLS! the word for owl in japanese is also the same word for luck, so lucky owls are common place in japanese gift shops. oni however are unlucky little ogres that play pranks on people. so when you mix the two together you get unlucky oni owls! they're about the size a quarter

MY LITTLE ONI; oni are ogres that show up a lot if japanese folklore. the cause mischief and bad luck, but you can be rid of them at setsubun, by throwing beans at them and yelling, "oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi!" which means, oni get out of my house, luck come in! (because everyone knows that all ogres are terrified of beans). Each oni comes with a little club, and some mini beans to throw at them. each one is about 2 inches tall, and can stand up

KAIJU!!!!!!! little monsters that can terrify a tiny city. each one has their own lame name, and they come with some tiny buildings for them to destroy.

FOXES; the kids these days, they love the foxes.

TINY BIRDS; i've made about 400 of these little guys, from chickens, to owls, to native north american birds that i see in my backwater woods. they're cute, accurate, and pretty versatile, make them into keychains, cellphone charms, christmas tree ornaments, etc.

come see me at the con! i've worked hard to make all these fun toys and prints for you all! buy them for you! buy them for your friends! buy them for your enemies! buy them for your grandpa!

i'll be in the artist alley, and SUPER ART FIGHT! my table is A1006

Hello! I bought one of your kaiju, the light green one, second from the right in the top row. I didn't realize you had already given them names, I've been calling him Marvin, lol. He's my lil desktop buddy, I love him. Keep up the awesome work!

i think marvin is a good name. his original name was chompra, but i think a full name of marvin chompra is also good. i'm glad he has a good home!!!

I will. I got a new size doll. He's a little one compared to the big boys. He's not only an oni (that looks like a little boy) but I made a new logo for the clothes I'm making in his size. It's a kitsune so both on the Oni and Fox would be perfect for the little guy... aren't you so happy to hear that your toys are going to be doll props.... mwahahaha:mwahaha:

You could probably set up some kind of commission like thing?
Or, maybe just have an ordering system in your journal or something, and then have them pay you for the item, shipping and handling as well!
Buy even an EBay store would be nice to have too. They would already have prices set up for shipping so you won't have to go through the hassle of finding out how much postage would be.

But of course, you could wait until school ends first. No rush. =3
