My Little Mystic by EatToast My Little Mystic by EatToast
The Dark Crystal was a movie that I watched almost every day growing up.

So for fun I made a Mystic Pony.
It has 6 legs, and a full mane to one side, though the photographs may not show it too well.

It was loads of fun to make.

I\'ll have to make an accompanying Skeksi later.

Sculpey, hair, resin, and acrylic paint over an existing My Little Pony

Enjoy!!

These are all so spectacular!!
The detail!! :o I looked up Sculpey, which is like Filmo (used Filmo a few times, probably ten years ago though) - so do you just use a My Little Pony and sculpt the desired shapes on to it, and voila? Is the acrylic special in anyway? (sounds odd.. . The detail & the paining detail reminds me of the kind of things you'd get out of those Games Workshop thingies with LORT and folklore fantasty character things - walked past one a million times when going to school).

I've seen some of Dark Crystal (all I can think of is "MmmMmMmmmmmmMm"-ing one..) because one of my friends had it on VHS still and we did a drinking game out of some of it.

Fantastic!

Thanks so much! I sculpt over an existing pony and paint on details and add the hair in, etc. They're very fun to make, I'm glad you like them! :)

Ah! Fantastic, they are! Where do you get all the My Little Ponies from? They're the ones which I remember seeing in the 90s (I only ever had one, which I gave to charity not that long after - never watched the programmes on telly) - as apposed to these new Current ones.
Do you sell them at all? You'd be able to put a great price on these, I'm sure - although they're so cute and fantastic that, if it were me, I'd just love to keep them / give them as gifts to my friends.

Some of them I get at yard sales or thrift shops, some I get through trades. I sell the finished ones, when I can bare to part with them (sometimes I make doubles and keep one). :)
